1. Bracket
The HeyDevs logo is inspired by the Curly Brackets, the foundation of coding. They're used to group related code and signify the beginning and end of a block. To us, they represent the core of what it means to be a developer - the ability to bring structure and meaning to complex problems. These brackets stand for "DEVs", representing the idea of bringing logic and resolution as a developer, and the importance of having a community of like-minded individuals to support you. The brackets are simple yet powerful, and they convey a sense of strength and cohesion.
2. Our own custom "Kaomoji".
At HeyDevs, our goal was to create a brand that celebrated the technical expertise and human creativity of developers. To represent the technical side of our brand, we chose curly brackets, the fundamental symbols of coding. But we also wanted a sense of playfulness and fun in our branding, capturing the mood and personality of HeyDevs. So we turned to the Japanese art of emoticons and created our own custom "Kaomoji". Kaomoji is made up of various characters and symbols that create unique facial expressions or gestures. We crafted a custom Kaomoji that embodies the lively and youthful spirit of our brand, with a facial expression that conveys happiness, relaxation, and fun. Together with the curly brackets, our custom Kaomoji forms the core of our brand identity, celebrating the ingenuity and passion that drives developers everywhere.
3. The name "HeyDevs"
